Agreement

These terms apply when you use Boxtype at www.boxtype.net or in the Boxtype Android app. By using Boxtype you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Boxtype. How we handle data is explained separately in the Privacy Policy.

What Boxtype is

Boxtype is a set of tools for making Discord text, GIFs, emoji and stickers: an emoji letter converter, fancy fonts, colored text, a timestamp generator, a message formatter, text art, an animated GIF maker and a server emoji maker. The tools are free to use and supported by ads. Boxtype Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks extra features.
Most tools run entirely on your device. We may change, add or remove features over time.

Your content

The text, images, GIFs, emoji and stickers you make with Boxtype are yours. We don’t claim ownership of them, and text you type into the tools isn’t sent to us.
You are responsible for what you make and share. Only use pictures, names and logos you have the right to use, and follow the rules of Discord and of the servers you post in.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Boxtype to make or post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else’s rights. Don’t use Boxtype to spam, to impersonate others, or to break Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
Don’t attempt to disrupt the site, get around purchase checks, or access accounts that aren’t yours. We may suspend accounts that do.

Accounts

An account is optional and only needed for Boxtype Pro and saved styles. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account.

Boxtype Pro

Boxtype Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It is tied to your Boxtype account and works on the web and in the Android app when you sign in. Prices are shown before you buy and may change for future purchases.
Purchases in the Android app are processed by Google Play and follow Google Play’s refund policies. Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe through RevenueCat; for help with a web purchase, email privacy@boxtype.net. Rights you have under local consumer law are not affected.

Discord and other trademarks

Boxtype is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Emoji images are provided by your device or by Twemoji, and fonts are used under their open licenses.

Disclaimers

Boxtype is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will be error-free or that Discord will accept every file, because Discord can change its limits and features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using Boxtype.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll mention it on the site. Questions about these terms can go to privacy@boxtype.net or the Contact page.
